HHC vape carts have a high celerity — which means they’ll start to kick in almost immediately. To the uninitiated, this feeling of rapid takeoff can be intense.
HHC is roughly 1.5 times stronger than delta 8 THC and about 80% as strong as conventional delta 9. The effects are best described as mellow, relaxing, and cerebral — but it can become much more intense and elated in higher doses.
What Are the Effects of HHC?
HHC shares many of the same benefits as the other cannabinoids you already know and love. Everybody reacts differently, but here are some generalizations we can make about what HHC feels like:

Most psychoactive cannabinoids have an effect on one’s ability to be creative. HHC is notable because of its increased potency level compared to delta 8 or THCV. Through its effects on the endocannabinoid receptors, HHC is able to shift the mind into a state of divergent thought. It’s within this state where most of our creative ideas originate.
Focus & Concentration
One of the most useful aspects of HHC is its dose-dependent nature. Smaller doses are undeniably calming and relaxing, but higher doses tend to be more energizing. Where Do We Get Our HHC?
This question is important because not all HHC is created equal. It’s critical you understand where this compound is coming from if you want to ensure the products you’re buying are both safe and legal.
Here’s how it works at Area 52.
Step 1: Extraction
Our extraction team receives raw, organically-grown hemp flower from our partnered farms in Colorado and California. Using state-of-the-art extraction methods such as supercritical CO2, we’re able to remove all the cannabinoids from the plant without the use of toxic solvents or chemical additives.
Step 2: Isolation
From here, we use several methods of isolation to further purify the target cannabinoids. This ensures the THC levels remain within legal limits and eliminates the unwanted fatty acids, proteins, and other naturally-occurring elements. We use a combination of short-path distillation and thin-film distillation.
Step 3: Concentration
The final step is to enhance the HHC concentration. The conventional method is to mix the extract with a solution containing heavy metals like palladium, but we’ve opted for a safer (and more time-consuming) process that uses a form of gastric acid instead.
Step 4: Purification
Once the HHC extract is complete, we run it through several rounds of further purification. This ensures the extracts that finally make their way into the cartridges are as potent as possible. We then send a sample off to the lab for testing and add terpenes for flavor.

How Do I Store My Vape Cart?
Our HHC vape carts are pretty robust. They’re unlikely to become clogged or damaged — however, it’s a good idea to store them upright and out of direct sunlight in order to maximize their effectiveness and minimize your chances of experiencing a clog.
If your cart does become clogged, gently warm the distillate by rubbing it together in your hands or placing it in a warm location (not in direct sun) for an hour or two.
How Much HHC Does Each Cart Contain?
Each cart holds 1 gram of distillate — which works out to just over 900 mg of HHC, a variety of terpenes, and trace amounts of accessory cannabinoids like CBD, CBN, and delta 8 THC. We don’t add any extra ingredients or fillers to any of our carts.
Are HHC Carts Legal?
Yes, our HHC carts remain fully compliant with the 2018 Farm Bill — which establishes that all hemp-derived cannabinoid products that contain no more than 0.3% delta 9 THC are federally legal.
With that said, there are a handful of states that have introduced legislation that prohibits the sale of cannabinoids like HHC.
